जनता जल रही है। जनप्रतिनिधि मायावती जनतंत्र के बहाने राज प्रायोजित 'शक्ति-आतंक' के प्रदर्शन के आनंदातिरेक में हैं। आपको दुनिया के सबसे बड़े लोकतांत्रिक देश के सबसे बड़े लोकतांत्रिक राज्य में लोकतंत्र की असलियत परखनी हो तो उन मासूम नाबालिग बच्चों के पास जाइए जो अभी-अभी जेल से छूट कर बाहर आए हैं। इन बच्चों ने होली के उत्साह में मायावती के पोस्टर पर रंग उछाल दिया था। यह उनका गंभीर अपराध था और पुलिस इस गंभीर अपराध के प्रति इतनी गंभीर थी कि उसने चार भोले-भाले बच्चों को न केवल गिरफ्तार किया बल्कि उनकी बर्बर पिटाई की और जेल में ठूंस दिया। प्रदेश की जनतांत्रिक मित्र-पुलिस ने बाल अपराध कानून को कूड़ेदान में डाल दिया और बच्चों को बाल सुधार गृह भेजने के बजाय उन्हें पेशेवर बालिग अपराधियों की बड़ी जेल में डालने की हठ तक की हद कर दी। हम आभार जताएं न्यायपालिका का... कि आखिरकार वहां न्याय और लोकतंत्र के औचित्य की हिफाजत हुई और बच्चों को रिमांड होम भेजने का आदेश जारी हुआ...
